News from the Principal

Dear Parents and Families,

On behalf of the staff and students I hope that all mothers have a happy Mother’s Day on Sunday. We thank you for being you and helping us to be the people that we are. We hope that you enjoy the Mother’s Day Liturgy, afternoon tea and activities on Friday at our school.

Special thanks to the Parents who have co-ordinated our Mother’s Day Stall for this Thursday.  The children are always very excited with their purchases and I’m sure the Mum’s will enjoy a lovely day on Sunday, with their family around them.

Last week child /parent/ teacher interviews were conducted. These meetings allowed staff to discuss children’s progress and to set goals in learning areas for the term. Parents remain the primary educators of their children and we must work together if we are to achieve the best for each child.

I congratulate Zoe, Sophie, Charli and Sienna on competing in the Cross Country Competition at Bostock Reservoir last Friday.

The girls were very competitive running 3 kilometres around Bostock Reservoir and I am once again impressed by the athletic prowress our students continue to display.

Sophie Sawicki came fifth in the open section and first in the Girls section. Sienna Muir came sixth in the open section and second in the Girls section and Zoe and Charli came 10th and 11th, respectively in the open section and third and fourth in the Girls section.

A big thank you to our volunteer bus driver, Chris Sawicki for transporting the girls to and from Bostock Reservoir.

On Friday, the girls in the senior class room will be representing us in the Catholic Schools Lightening Premiership netball competition. Good luck girls and thank you to our netball coaches.

On Tuesday 17th August there will be a School Closure Day, as staff will be attending a writing PD in Ballarat.

I wish all Mums, Grandmas a wonderful day on Sunday.  I hope you are totally spoilt on your special day.

Enjoy your week,

Paul McDowell.
